Made a tamale pie in the slow cooker. In one of those mysterious ways, the cornbread on top, although seemingly barely enough batter to cover the stew, was almost as tall as the stew once baked. Also an acceptable guacamole-I was out of cumin (!) so I upped the amount of chili powder.
