I’m sure we could all easily find things if he released his tax returns.
I suspect if they led anywhere, they would have already been leaked by someone in the IRS.
If he’s hiding them - it’s not out of an over abundance of modesty on his part.
Follow the money - or lack there of.
Is what sense or wording did I advocate “jailing the children”? Reading between lines or are you trying to twist what I wrote into something different? Please reread my comment again after you read your own.
I would assume that his tax returns are available to plenty of people in the IRS, as well as any federal investigators who wish, officially or unofficially, to see them. Also employees of the Trump companies and whatever accounting firms he has used in the past. I imagine there are quite a few of those people with access who would like the sort of cash those returns might command.
I guess it could be read as “the other members of his family that are similarly corrupt”. Perhaps we should assume that is what you meant. Fair enough. I withdraw the question.
Cohen has tapes of himself and Drumpf planning the hush money payoffs and laundering them through a third party (the Enquirer). That’s not just, “oops, we accepted too large a donation, we’ll report it ASAP and get slapped with a fine.” That’s 1. Felony-level campaign violations; 2. Conspiracy to commit bank fraud (since Cohen obtained the loan under false pretenses, that sticks to Trump, too); 3. Money laundering. I’m surprised Cohen didn’t get charged with the latter, but that’s probably the part that Pecker is getting immunity on in exchange for his testimony. Otherwise, what would Pecker need immunity from?
