Solid cover! As for adapting the games for film, we gamers are willing to put up with so much more of the screwy writing than filmgoers in some respects. Like all that cloning mess and…all of MGS4?

I actually found the endless cutscenes in the one Metal Gear game I played tiresome because it felt like the writers wanted to make me sit through a movie instead of playing a game (as opposed to the Portal games where the story was seamlessly integrated into the gameplay itself) but I can see that working to an adaptation’s advantage.
