I remember reading something about a female wild otter sneaking into the aquarium to give birth; she’d apparently scoped it out, and decided it was a nice safe place. I believe she left soon after, with her newborn.

I remember seeing a beaver den, but I can’t remember if it was filmed footage or at the local aquarium with the structure up against the class.
My father was a biologist and when I wad very small I got to go behind the scenes at the Copenhagen aquarium, and I think one on the west coast. Nothing like the sound and smell of an aquarium behind the scenes.
That camera reminds me of my ex-boyfriend.
Every time I see one of these videos where documentarians make an animatronic robot to hide a camera I have to wonder if the critters are truly fooled, or if they’re reacting more or less the same way they would if someone just mounted a camera on a small non-threatening-looking toy boat.
It worked in Caddyshack. Wait, those were all animatronic gophers.
