Cute, though giving pets ‘fast food’ is probably not the best idea.
I’m assuming it’s just plain cooked hamburger meat which is pretty benign, all things considered. My biggest concern is the amount. For a 10lb dog (my guess for its weight, erring on the large side), it only needs ~80g of food (dry) for an entire day. A single 1/4 lb patty is almost 2x that. And this pomeranian at least already had breakfast.
Good girl is 12. She’s made it to the final stretch, so I love this for her. When my aged one lost her appetite for dog food, the vet said not to sweat it and feed her whatever she’ll eat. Said he’d seen a 15-year-old beagle that spent its last two years only interested in eating Kraft Mac-and-Cheese.
I feel the same when I hear about 90 year old folks still smoking and drinking. Let them have it at that point. It seems to keep them preserved.
That’s a well-behaved little dog.
I remember watching a Tom Papa video where he said something along the lines of when he’s old he’s just going to go bathe in mall fountains because what can they do? He’s old!
Fast food burgers are heavily processed, though. And while just a plain burger off the grill might be okay now and then, processed meats are less so…
Sounds like an occasional In-N-Out burger patty (which includes no additives, fillers or preservatives) fits well within the AKC’s guidelines though. FTA:
However, if you want to throw a plain patty on the grill, unseasoned and cooked hamburger meat can be a healthy source of protein in addition to your dog’s regular, balanced diet. This is true in general of ground beef, turkey, chicken, and pork. Just make sure to cut the meat up into bite-sized pieces to prevent dog choking hazards.
That particular dog’s Pavlovian behavior indicates it’s a much more frequent occurrence than ‘occasionally.’
Just sayin; I’m not the one paying that lady’s vet bills, and I’m not the one who will have to deal with any resulting health issues.
Serious question because I’m genuinely curious to know: are there commercially available dog foods that wouldn’t be considered “processed meat,” or are less processed than an In-N-Out burger patty? What do you feed your dog, if you have one?
Even though it wasn’t addressed to me I’d just like to share that I have two dogs who get unprocessed chicken that I run through a meat grinder and an assortment of raw vegetables, mostly leafy greens, also ground into a paste. We used to get chicken necks by the case which was especially unpleasant when they still had a head attached.
The third who’s had urinary issues gets a mix of sweet potatoes, macaroni, yogurt, some other stuff, and fresh eggs from a local farm.
I’m a little embarrassed that their diet is healthier than mine, but they don’t get a choice of what they eat.
is there a non tik tok link? i’m kind of surprised BB is plugging the site on the regular
