The first LeGuin I read was The Left Hand of Darkness. After I finished it, I was trepidatious about reading more of her work, because what could possibly live up to the absurdly high bar she’d set with that one? Turns out that’s just what she does, and I needn’t have worried.

I can wholeheartedly recommend The Young Wizard series by Diane Duane; She regularly has sales on the eBook versions via eBooks Direct (like right now, for example- the link goes to the 9 volume set.)

I loved the first three books when I was a teen. I had no idea she did more books in the series.
