I’ve run about a thousand miles in these shoes since getting them last year. I could never do that in high heels.
Seriously though, I need new shoes.

I painted these shoes with that Black 2.0 paint, diluted. Probably gonna keep doing that until they fall off of my feet. I love me a lazy slipper that I can wear out of the house.
I’m currently barefoot! But was just out at a street art fair wearing Merrell sandals.
What’s the brand?
The ankle stuff, plus boxed toe, look perfect for keeping the shoes on without curling one’s toes.
(teehee)
These have been my main shoe this year. They are older than I am. I really need to figure out how to properly affix new straps. For years I have been accustomed to all of my clothes being completely silent, so I have had to learn to embrace that “karan koron” sound.
70s carpet FTW!
I love Merrell. I have a pair of Merrell boots that are holding up well. They usually last a couple years at least.
My previous boots were more fashionable, but only lasted a matter of weeks.
Other than that, LL Bean makes good boots. Doc Martens IME cost next to nothing but don’t hold up well.
Jessica Simpson “Mandalaye”.
Thanks!
You don’t need arch support, the arch is the support.
I’ve seen that carpet before. In a kitchen.
I was going to rag you for wearing socks with sandals, but those sandals are totally sock-appropriate since they’re meant to be worn with tabi.
My usual footwear:
Though the pair I have are nearly 16 years old and since I don’t polish them, etc, they are showing their age.
I also wear these sometimes:
My feet are very boring!
Daily boots, had for a few years but just got them properly broken in this year and added the wings.
Going out boots, just got for my birthday since my last pair disintegrated.
I also have one 10 year old pair of doc Martin maryjanes and 3 cheap cloth pairs in red, purple, and black which I consider my lazy shoes.
I’ve been needing to get the zipper replaced on my also very old silver docs.
I do own a pair of 2 inch heels but I’ve become ever increasing averse to wearing them.
These are my daily all-purpose boots - waterproof leather and goretex with a side zipper and good tread. They’re comfy and okay for the office, walking in the woods, or going to the club. For walking on ice, I have spikes I can attach.
My ‘duck’ booties:
WHO carpets a kitchen?!?! Cooking anything beyond pop tarts or TV dinners would be asking for trouble.
This room was a “family room”, but is now sort of a studio/workshop. I don’t usually wear shoes in here, but I had just come in from checking the garden.
I imagine that they hated sweeping and/or mopping? We’ll never know. The bathroom walls & ceiling were mirror tile with gold marble effect.
It was like someone post-stroke had hired a cokehead to decorate the house.
People in the 70s?
