Ridiculous as her tenure as press secretary was she definitely landed the job at the right time; the bar was set so low by her predecessor that she could hardly help being a step up.

Spicey’s willingness to slink into a bush and hide was better than Sander’s smokey-eye stream of lies. All of them, even the Mooch, were paid to lie to America.

I agree that Spicer was more of a buffoon, but the scare quotes are doing some Apollo rocket heavy lifting regarding the walking pile of constipated fascist misery (AKA the current Gov of Arkansas).
