My friend found a bunch of babies on a dead mom and rescued them. They were cute.

It’s got to be weird to have a nocturnal pet. Domesticated foxes, too - I’m not sure how many people who are now getting them as pets realize that.

To be fair, the opposite is also likely to be true. People bitten by cats often get bad infections. Nasty, dirty bites.

I always thought it was interesting how short their lifespans are, which is about 2-4 years at the most. It’s on par with a brown rat, even squirrels live longer than opossums.

They have their cuteness. I found a dead mom and a half dozen joeys under my porch. They went to the local Humane Society.

It was interesting how they were tearing around, hissing, and very stressed while I was collecting them. Once in the pet carrier with each other they calmed right down and went to sleep in a big sibling-pile.
