This one is even more apt for this thread:
There was a live action version of Coraline?
In Spanish. During the Spanish Civil War. And her name isnāt Coraline.
I was never interested in seeing that film, and now that you have described it to meā¦
What did I just see?
CLIPPY! Whereāve you been?
It is a fabulous film.
Del Toroās best, probably.
I received this book for xmasā¦
Pretty Cool
Thatās cool; Iām still good, as Iāve never been much of a fan anyway.
Going to and fro in the earth, and walking up and down in it.
The movie is pretty amazing, but itās definitely a dark fairy tale of sorts. I would recommend it, but i would warn that itās a bit of a depressing movie. If you donāt have any interest in seeing it thatās fine
Is Devilās backbone any good?
Yeah iāve seen it once and enjoyed it a lot. Not his best movie but worth watching
I donāt ādoā depressing movies; thatās what reality is for.
I normally donāt either. Which is why i specifically made sure to mention that itās depressing because being blindsided by the movieās themes when youāre not expecting it may really turn someone off.
I had someone do this when they convinced me to watch Grave of the Fireflies. Iād never heard of it and had no idea what i was getting into. Saddest movie ever made.
Similar themes to Panās Labyrinth, too. Good companion piece. I do prefer his Spanish language films to the Hollywood ones, I have to say.
Is that the one where the two child protagonists die?
If so, thatās another hard pass.
As for Del Toro, his work just doesnāt move me; I guess it says something when the only movies of his that I liked were Blade 2 and Pacific Rimā¦
I think youāre underselling the amount of grief in the film.
