Until just now I had never seen video footage of this show. I did, however, have an LP of music and scenes from it, which I listened to several times as a child and I could NOT tell what the hell was going on.
Not a single bone was thrown to the daydreams of the little girls who were watching this show, though.

I was never able to watch New Zoo Revue for more than about five seconds. I had serious aversion to the costumes and songs which apparently kids were supposed to like.
I always hated that show… But I had to sit thru it until Speed Racer came on.
