My uncle was deported from the US last year … except of course he wasn’t because he’s white. Instead they gave him 60 days to get his affairs in order and leave the country under his own recognizance, and paid for his bus ticket from El Paso, TX to the Michigan-Ontario border to do so. And reminded him that he could apply for his S.S. pension as soon as he was no longer in the US.
And no, he didn’t do something innocuous like overstaying his work visa. He lied about not having a criminal record when he entered the country 15 years earlier and got caught when he applied for his pension due to better records sharing now compared to then.
