It bloomed
because the unicorn
fell over.
Signs of spring.
Dogwood (Cornus florida)
Dogwood and redbud (Cercis canadensis), a nice combo in these parts:
A healthy redbud:
New leaves on a young bald cypress (Taxodium distichum)
Rather specific return address.
…flowers can be made into a nice infusion for simple syrup or jelly, BTW
Chrysler Imperial?
Fuck if I know mate. I’m not a car guy, I just saw a cool old car.
I don’t think it’s an Imperial. I’m not really a car guy either!
I do know that Imperials are usually not allowed to enter demolition derbies because of their weight and solidity. The car in the photo looks pretty massive, so I was just guessing
ETA: This WP article says:
The 1964-1966 Chrysler Imperial achieved near-legendary status for its crashworthiness, and it is still banned from most derby events.
The car in your photo looks substantially older
I’m a 1966 model myself, but my crashworthiness is negligible.
Looks like a 1956 Chevrolet station wagon. Can’t really see the hood ornament clearly and it looks like the owner removed the badge that used to sit on the front of the hood.
If you go again, could you take a panorama? That’s gorgeous
In my ignorance I thought that panoramas were only possible if you have a fancy iPhone but after reading your comment I looked into it. What do you know, my phone can do panorama! So thank you for suggesting that
I need to work on my technique but here goes:
And now I have a new isolation activity because my phone also seems to have a stop motion feature! I always thought they were the coolest thing - I am way younger on the inside than on the outside…
The grass at the edge of the path is already wearing down from people keeping their distance when walking through the local park.
Would you take photos of that place throughout the seasons?
The bird itself is not remarkable, but I was only able to capture the image by holding my cell phone up to binoculars
Looks like a little Coopers Hawk
