Dumb ad of the day:

“Fast Mode”, LOL.

Also, “of the Computer Age”. Can’t help but think of this old cartoon:

More C. florida. This a pink cultivar, perhaps ‘Cherokee Chief’.

Nice combo of redbud + cherry:

The bees were going nuts.

I’m inspired by @LaKrissie to try a panorama as well. My 2yo and I have been making 6am jaunts through the park to avoid the crowds. here’s a pondside view we watched for a while (and did a Cheerie Lee dance to the tune of Mister Lee…)

Back when I was riding mass transit, I discovered that panorama mode works just fine when you keep the camera perfectly still while looking out the window, and letting the landscape slide by. You get all sorts of interesting glitchy effects depending on speed and what’s in the shot. Give it a try if you get a chance!

Pohjoisranta 20, Helsinki, Finland. I don’t think In noticed that before. That building was built in 1929.

Anyone else been howling at 8pm?

Howling?

Yes, howling. Maybe it’s just in my town, but people have been going out (or opening windows) at 8pm every night and howling. We can hear it across the neighborhoods. Some people yip, some make owl calls, some do the traditional wolf howl. It’s silly, fun, and just a little cathartic. I’m just wondering if this is a eccentricity of where I live, or if other cities are experiencing this, too.

Not in Tucson, but I wouldn’t want to rile up the coyotes.
