Chopped, defrosted blueberries into the batter before cooking. I’ve only ever used fresh ones before which were less wet and mushy, which usually means little blurry purple patches in the pancakes.
Yeah, my mother’s always look like that, and I know from being a short order chef that restaurants wait until the batter’s in the pan to place the blueberries (also more even distribution).
I’ll wait until you’ve finished breakfast to tell you more about “blue” berries turning things green…
Corporate frozen blueberries? They put food coloring in those packages.
The pack didn’t have an ingredient or additives list. Hoping that means they were fine…
I used to buy the big bags when I was living in the US, and had the same issue with my smoothies. Always green-ish.
