(Now I am genuinely curious what kind of car that is)
It’s an Australian 1980 model Ford Escort. The Escort badge was applied to different cars in Europe and the US, so if it doesn’t look like an Escort you know, that’s probably why.
It looks like the Ford Corcel.

there are more under the reddish sepal leaves beneath the exposed bananas.

Oh. It is very beautiful. When we were kids there was always some banana trees in our backyard.
Do you know that some people eat it? We call it umbigo (bellybutton) or Coração (heart) da Bananeira (banana tree).
Saw these in charity shop yesterday.
100€ it had an old price sticker for 285 Finnish markka that’s about 63€.
