Itā€™s an onomatopoeia.

Kellyanne Conway exercises choice. The way that the right twists the language of the left against itself is so bizarre.

ā€œI thought that women were a product of their choices and thatā€™s what Iā€™m trying to do here privately and quietly find the best balance for my family,ā€ Conway told the FOX Business Networkā€™s Stuart Varney.

Conway took issue with the motives behind the attacks, saying the criticisms are from people who judge her political views and not her ability to be a mother.

ā€œA lot of them who have attacked me are either childless interns born in the 1990sā€¦or I noticed women who have cats as their Twitter pictures, so Iā€™m not going to really just lose my mind over people attacking me in a 140 characters, I can assure you that,ā€ she said.

Has she forgotten whom sheā€™s working for?

I am so confusedā€¦

Are you defending her? Kellyanne Conway. Of the Trump teamā€¦? What?
Are there any examples of these attacks that she says are happening?
And what the hell is this?

childless interns born in the 1990sā€¦or I noticed women who have cats as their Twitter pictures

Ah yes, that great twitter demographic of spinster hags and millennials. Totally how twitter breaks down.

No, definitely not defending her. This is another example of the right trying to have their cake and eat it, too.

In this case, the narrative is that Kellyanne is just exercising her ā€œchoice.ā€ The narrative is that when a woman on the right exercises her ā€œchoiceā€ that she is demonized. According to this, the Lefties are attacking her, saying there is a right ā€œchoiceā€ - the ā€œchoiceā€ to work. A woman who chooses to stay home is not valued.

She makes my head spin.

On the other hand, it was interesting to see how much more relaxed she is when she is on Fox.

Makes me wonder which one she thinks her boss is.

Thatā€™s life. Either youā€™re too young to know how the world really works, or youā€™re too old to be relevant

If a cat avatar means spinster hag, what does a dog avatar mean?

Oh thank dog! I was so confused!

So far as Iā€™ve seen no one is attacking for her her choice to work or not to work but for WHOM she is choosing to work for. I mean, if you work for the devil people are gonna wonder what kind of Mom you areā€¦ it just stands to reason.

@anon67050589 - right?!

@LearnedCoward - I was at an extended family dinner when the patriarch start spouting something coded racist and his eldest daughter called him on it. (it was about rap music) - she suddenly was a) too old to know what youths listen to and at the same time b) too young to know better than her Papa. The Lady in question was 40 at the time. It was amazing to witness.

40 is definitely both too old and too young.

Whatā€™s weird to me is that they will fight all day long against a womanā€™s choice, then say, ā€œHow can you attack me, look, when Iā€™m just exercising CHOICE just like you said I should?ā€ So, like, when you totally support a government that does not support choice for everyone, I should admire you for exercising your choice???

I listen to all kinds of music, including the stuff the kids are listening to, and including the dirty blues that predates that music by a good 80 years and would make Vince Staples blush :flushed: Anyone who complains about ā€œkids these daysā€ should take a look at how they themselves grew up. They were just as bad, if not worse, and even if they themselves werenā€™t, their culture was.

Their parents were also coded-racist against that sort of dirty delta blues and jazz music back in the day,

This song comes on the radio in Fallout4 all the time.

Is the song about sex or a serial killer?

Youā€™re probably right. Hence the War On Drugs and its preoccupation with jazz music.

That being said, Iā€™ve always found straight-laced people creepy and hard to deal with. Itā€™s like anything is justifiable with them, as long as nobody uses any dirty words and as long as thereā€™s no sex (but violence is okay).

I feel like ā€œstraight lacedā€ is possibly one of those potential value-judgments where someoneā€™s always ā€œdeviantā€ to another.

Itā€™s just such a non-specific category that I have a hard time finding someone Iā€™ve known and without matching it to a caricature. Or perhaps I just scare them off in person?

I love this song, even though itā€™s most probably about a rapist and murderer. So many of the classics were. Donā€™t even get me started on murder ballads.

Straight-laced isnā€™t a lack of defining characteristics. It is a defining characteristic. Iā€™m talking about people who are overly legalistic in their morality without showing a shred of empathy or humanity.
