I usually find VICE to be a bit of a laugh or entirely idiotic but their on-the-ground coverage in Ukraine, particularly this story, is excellent.
Whatever you think about what’s going on there, this piece shows what the people who live where the battle is happening think about it all. TLDR; they just want to stop having their loved ones killed.
