What could possibly go wrong?
Apart from everything.
Anticipating the usual discussion of technical minutiae that our resident ammosexuals will use to distract from the essential fact that this is a horrible idea, hello and goodbye to this discussion topic.
School supplies!!!
I mean… but… what if…why would you… what happens when…
These idiots won’t send money for school supplies or vote for people who want to adequately fund public schools, but they will send guns to them.
How about the schools sell the guns for supplies!
That’s a great idea:
“We sold all the assault rifles to buy the books in our library, and the ladies handguns helped us fit out the Glee club with a second CD.
To be honest, if we had to listen to Journey one more time there probably would have been a shooting, so this Guns For School Stuff campaign is a Win-Win!!
What’s that?
No, dear, scholastic doesn’t mean disabled…”
So, schoolyards are going to look an Al Qaeda training video?
I think that about settles it. The school shootings are a ritual of sacrifice. The god must be appeased.
Absolutely.
And I need to watch Wong Foo again, thanks for the reminder.
De nada.
Meh… this seems both unnecessary, but also nothing to get too excited about it.
That is, assuming, they plan to keep them secured in a safe until needed and not openly patrolling with them. That would be hella over kill. And assuming only the cop has access to it (the article alludes that it is for the cops only.)
The school cops are still trained cops and armed with handguns. So this isn’t much different than that. I still contend the likelihood of them ever being needed or used in the school is extremely low. But so is the likelihood that something “bad” will come out of having a rifle on school grounds in a safe accessible only by the trained cop.
On what planet do you live on where AR-15s are acceptable in schools. Are you out of your mind??
But cops with handguns are acceptable?
No and adding more guns to that mix doesn’t improve that.
No. The resource officer in my high school shamelessly hit on underage girls, harassed kids (including me) on the way home, and was in general a terrible person.
