I don’t get it. Where’s the toast?
I’m going with no pit since I “see” a pit and this is an optical illusion.
Speaking of pits. My quarantine friend is growing nicely. It’s other 5 siblings didn’t fair as well.
I’m not sure, it is hard to tell from that photo.
Heretic!
Pits aren’t that color, so…
The answer is:
There’s not enough information to be sure. What does the other half of the avocado look like?
And that avo is pushing its ripeness - soon to be black.
It’s a pit .
Yeah, and it’s a pit because the seed has been taken out
I’m going with “Yes”
Blue and black.
Narf!
It’s a stone
(Do I win too?)
That is clearly a representation of an avocado stone, not a pit nor a seed. It is an image of text and avocado. It is not an actual avocado… am I pointing out the bloody obvious!?
In fact the semiological pun of both the written text (scribe) and the painted image and the mirroring between the re-presentations has been discussed in the delightful tract by Michel Foucault titled “This is Not a Pipe” both eluding to the original artwork by Rene Magritte, of which this digital image is referencing. Was Foucault just pointing out the bloody obvious!?
That’s not an avocado, it’s half an avocado.
