hot Texas summer, 1972.
the mum had a 57 MGA and dear brother and i, plus the two kids from across the street, packed into and onto the British two-seater. I’d be down in the passenger seat while the other three boys would sit on the back and hang on while mum would zip us all about town with nary a look askance from anyone.
good times. if we weren’t all piled into the back of papi’s pick up truck, we were courting catastrophe on the back of a convertible.
