actor to portray the character. they weren’t looking in the right place for live actors when were looking at dead characters, not the same thing at all. unless that was their intent the entire time, that’s a very disturbing casting process to have just happened this way, lol. give me a break.
instead of a stupid story, maybe they could just be honest and say they thought using a famous iconic figure would be an interesting and attention getting stunt. applying a previous actors character to their character is one less character they have to develop. hopefully the value of their work extends beyond this one idea.
