Bane is fantastic in the new Harley Quinn animated series - which itself is surprisingly fantastic.

The entire Batman franchise jumped the shark starting with the movie where Batman spoke like he had woken up with a bad hangover. It was at that point I realized everybody–hero and villain alike–was nothing without a weird voice.

As far as I’m concerned Batman’s signature drink is still “a large fresh orange juice, please.”

It worked in the animated series as a way to separate Bruce voice from Batman voice. But that is because Kevin Conroy’s vocal talent and it wasn’t overused.
