This takes me back to the sixties, when people were all upset at men’s long hair: “You can’t tell the girls from the boys!” I remember reading about Christians worried about Jesus’s depictions with long hair, who said that the word for Jesus’ hair in the Bible originally should be translated as “short hair”. Crazy.

They would probably been horrified to learn that neither Jesus nor any of the Apostles ever wore pants.
