Never saw that Mariah performance but don’t blame her, she didn’t get a sound check, can’t hear herself in the monitors, probably can’t hear much of anything–just enough to tell that the mix is missing tracks apparently, so why would she want to sing completely off-key? She should have just done the dance moves and not said anything.

The older I get, the less relevant or recognizable the bulk of the performers at New Year’s Rockin’ Eve become. Yes, yes, I know… the problem is clearly with me. But nonetheless… get those damn kids off my lawn.
