That one woman, I think the third one, was that…

?
No, no, of course not.
I am a fan and I’ve seen her with glasses like that on the YouTubes.

Just once I would like to hear the reporter respond with a couple of questions when one of these covidiots talk about their “research”.

"What exactly did that “research” entail? Your Facebook feed?

“What is your specific education that trains you to be able to evaluate scientific information?”

If they won’t listen to their doctors about health recommendations in the midst of a pandemic, why would you expect them to listen to their dentists about dental hygiene?

But that’s not the issue.

They are complaining about smelling their own “funk” because they wear masks… Instead of letting other people smell it.

Sad! Make better choices, adults.

I know someone who is part of a current anti-mask league, Moms for Liberty (“We do not co-parent with the government” shirts are sold on their site…), who would zero in on the part in the article stating the masks were porous. They’d say the masks now are as ineffective then as they are now, so why bother? Then something about liberty. When forced to wear a mask in public, they wear a Moana mask with the words YOU’RE WELCOME on the front as the subtlest of FUs.

I’m still confused about masks infringing in liberty, though. No one has been able to clearly and coherently explain it to me. And I’m open to hearing it, even though I will continue to follow the guidance of those with access to more information.

If they were willing to listen to their Dentist, and do the required dental hygiene, they wouldn’t be suffering from the halitosis that makes mask wearing such a torture for them.

Don’t hold your breath. I engaged locally last fall when there was a big hullabaloo about the county buildings enacting a mask policy, and making online and curbside services available to those who couldn’t or wouldn’t wear a mask. I attended a few of the county commission Zoom meetings. It was a shit show. In the chat people were complaining about socialism and govt overreach. When I asked how wearing a mask had anything to do with socialism, aside from a bunch of idiotic vitriol one guy explained that, “it’s because the govt is trying to force this.” When I mentioned that it wasn’t “the govt” (it wasn’t) but that it was the people that worked in the building trying to set things up so they felt safe going to work (it was), in fact our neighbors and friends and fellow community members, the idiotic vitriol piled on. And I’m pretty fucking diplomatic in those situations. These folks were just spoiling for a fight, and still are.

'the “funk” you smell inside the mask ’

This is completely consistent with modern miasma theory.

I wouldn’t lead them like that, just a few open ended questions:

How did you conduct your research? What methodology did you use? What was your sample size? Has it been independently verified? Is the hypothesis falsifiable?

Of course these people can’t even spell methodology, so it might be like clubbing a squirrel to death with a backhoe, but I think I’d still enjoy seeing them try to answer the questions.

They’ll probably yell something like “why you worshipper of science cult!”

This was my question too. They talk about research, or needing to do their own research. What, exactly, do they mean by that?

“Satanists stand six feet apart and wear masks during their rituals”

So, basically, you will believe absolutely anything you read.
