Josh Duggar poses with his important pals

I meant that perhaps Duggar’s folks went to the authorities at the insistence of the parents of other victims.

The Duggar elders handled it by sending Josh to family friend who gave Josh a “very stern talk.”

Jim Bob told police in 2006 that when Josh returned home in 2003, Jim Bob, accompanied by some of his church elders, took Josh to Arkansas State Trooper, Jim Hutchens. Jim Bob knew Hutchens personally. Hutchens did not take any official action and instead gave Josh a “very stern talk.” As In Touch magazine reports exclusively in this week’s issue, Hutchens is now serving 56-years in prison for child pornography. He took no action on the Duggar case.

I don’t know why you would be surprised. They represent the right-wing ideal. Santorum wants to outlaw all forms of contraception. And nothing says “Screw the Earth, because I don’t believe in science” like personally adding a couple of dozen more people to crap it up. After all, Jesus is coming soon, so it all doesn’t matter, right?

Noticed this too…I guess this shows that at least he’s not gay.

Sadly, you would be surprised that people idolized these fucking freaks.

Likes an older woman. One with a little experience under her belt. As it were.

I wouldn’t really, of course there are sincere social conservative Christians who endorse the quiverfull militancy, but just as many if not more persons who enjoy gawking at them. TLC isn’t known for getting their ratings through classy family broadcasting, after all. Their programming is based on circus events.

Role-models, see how they work?

Maybe because Duggar and all these famous men are known for claiming that they have a higher moral standard than many Americans, when in fact they are either corrupt, hateful or downright criminal deviants.

Didn’t we just have a conversation about public shaming?

I mean - I dislike what he did, but I hadn’t even heard of the guy until yesterday and publicly attacking him for something he did when he was 15 just seems wrong.

Even if he is a right-wing christian fundamentalist reality-tv star.

“Don’t publicly shame child molesters, it’s bad” is taking “Please let rich white men be able to get away with anything they want” to a whole new level.

Wow. I should have spent five minutes researching the deeper story. I was giving the family the benefit of the doubt based solely on the original news item which said they’d gone to the authorities. It’s a bit too convenient/coincidental though that the “authorities” turned out to be a paedophile. Jumping Jesus in a basket.

they all molest people in their own way, so it’s only natural that they flock together.

I believe my operating claim is “Don’t publicly shame people for stupid stuff they did when they were 15.”

Criminal stuff. With many victims.

Just a cheap nasty smear against the pols BB doesn’t like…you’ll see it more and more as election time rolls nearer.

Yeah, seriously…my “June and Ward Cleaver” type Christian friends think they are some weird people and don’t watch that sort of show. The people I know who watch are all watching to laugh and cringe!

The family were grown adults when they hid his pattern of rape from authorities. They are deserving of heavy doses of shame and loathing.

I mean, raping and molesting his own family and others, what silly kid stuff!!!

God I hope so!

People like Huckabee are now defending the actions of the family. If they didn’t want the fact that they support child molesters shoved in their faces, maybe they should stop accusing innocent people of child molestation and stop defending people who knowingly protector child molesters? Just a thought.
