Her point? FWIW, I don’t think the base, generally, is ever interested in a whole story. They believe what they want to believe and hear what they want to hear, whatever confirms their existing beliefs. So, you spin a narrative, sprinkle in those dog whistles and trigger words for the base and that’s enough for them. Immigration is bad, explained as a bunch of trigger words thrown out. If you tee up a bunch of credible points and tie them up to a logical conclusion, that would be missed by much of your audience and entirely superfluous. Just ramble on and make sure your audience is regularly pricking up their collective ears. Or, “Point? We don’t need no stinking point.” Probably helps if you’re not really capable of making one, regardless.

Where are the placemats and napkin holder on the table? The stack of mail from the last 3 days? The little ceramic frog with the dish scrubber in its mouth? Even worse than Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ rebuttal from last year which was pretty brutally awful.
Laken Riley’s family was apparently invited to attend the SOTU as a Republican guest and the family declined because they didn’t want to be used as political pawns. Of course it didn’t stop anybody from using her death as a political sledgehammer anyway. You had Empty G handing out buttons with her picture, and the rebuttal also invoking her name as well. What a bunch of ghouls.
