'Keep America Great' is apparently Trump's new campaign slogan

Obviously a strange new usage of the word great that I was previously unaware of.

Hell, Reagan was using MAGA back in his run as well. Once again proving Trump has never had an original thought in his head.

Which is explicitly mentioned in the post.

Carnival Barker:

“HURRY! HURRY! HURRY! See the incredible hypnotic ORANGE-FACED MONKEY-MAN! He’s ALIVE! ALIVE! He’s on the INSIDE! He’s the STRANGEST FREAK ever born to live! Watch him DANCE like an APE! SPIT like a REPTILE! (Doctors, nurses, scientists, and medical professionals admitted FREE!) EVERYONE admitted FREE! (Complete refund if proven to be a fake!) HURRY! HURRY! HURRY!”

Oldest. Con. Ever.

And it always works. Always draws a crowd.

For a while, at least.

I can say one positive thing about Trump: He’s here to blow our minds.

There has always been a tension among activists on the left as to whether working within the system or protesting outside the system is more effective. Common sense has indicated for decades that people who attempt to influence the system from the inside become hopelessly compromised and are, in the end, ineffectual. They end up perpetuating the status quo, which is the exact opposite of what was intended.

Then, along comes Trump. Trump shows that you can not only effect change from inside, but the entire system is comically vulnerable to just such an attack. It helps greatly that his personal mode of corruption dovetails so absolutely with the flow of corruption in DC for the last couple of decades. All that was needed was a corrupt candidate with the most specious fame and name recognition imaginable. This is a fantastic and disturbing opportunity for young people that want to seize the reins of power from the ancient squares that have been running our country and our general wealth into a ditch for decades.

Trump has taught us a lot of hard lessons. The kind of lessons we never really wanted to learn: Who votes in America and what sways them? How vulnerable is our system of voting to vandalism and corruption? What will it take to end racism and xenophobia in this country? He has really rolled the log over and let us hear the complaints of the vermin squirming in the sunlight. So, thanks Trump, for showing us how far we have to go just to have anything resembling a participatory democracy. And, thanks Trump, for not being as horrifying as the Republican candidate for President in 2024.

Was thinking the same: KKKAG. Sad that we even have to go there.

I’m guessing “Same Old Shit” was already taken.
