At least Batman’s cape has a purpose. With most costumed heroes, it’s just a liability.

My kid brother had a simpler version of this in the late eighties/early nineties. IIRC, he loved it.

Not exactly obligatory, but this was the first thing that came to mind.
Absence of ears makes it much less Batman-y.
