You can currently only see the movie in theaters on that weekend and can buy tickets online here.
IIRC, when an eCommerce purchase is in the cart but not yet paid for, it is reserved while the cart contents are valid. It’d be unfortunate for them if a bunch of people booked, but forgot to pay for, tickets.
“You, too, can start a small business & become a millionaire! Tax-free! Just like Kirk!”
My only criticism of it is that they haven’t been hoovered up already.
It might hellp the housing crisis…
The more accurate term, Genocide, just sounds so harsh… and would probably have more opposition.
The Puritans were/are intolerant, arrogant assholes, and are a major reason why this country is so fucked up.
They did no such thing.
Apparently lying is ok, as long as it helps spread the propaganda.
‘Ya don’t work, ya don’t eat’ & ‘my way or the highway’ pretty much sums it up; and anytime you hear the words ‘school choice’, you can bet it’s one of these Taliban jackwagons bleating.
So, he’s no christian, then.
Can’t serve two masters.
Anti-Science.
No surprise, here.
Anti-American, as well.
FDC, through & through.
Almost sorry I missed the homeschooldad, but it looks like he was only interested in doing a hit & run.
Kirk Cameron is disillusioned now that he knows that that voice in his head that said the end times are here was not God but Satan and he completely fell for it. So he lost his faith. The only thing left for him now is to grift. So he’ll keep promoting keeping your children ignorant so they’ll growup and take his bullshit seriously. Big money in religion folks. Big Money.
I’ll never get used to the idea that Evangelicals and the deeply religious support Donald Trump. I’m an atheist and I bet I’m more religious than Trump.
The whole banana bit is hilariously disingenuous. Apart from being a silly post hoc ergo proctor hoc argument, it displays stunning ignorance of agriculture. Of course it’s a great fit for our needs- because we spent thousands of years breeding them that way. Everything we eat is so heavy cultivated to be exactly what we need that none of it is even recognizable from where it started. Carrots used to be a purple root the size of a toothpick. Corn used to be a tiny stick with two kernels in it. So it goes with every single thing humans eat. It’s this way because we made it this way.
This is why religious types are terrified of real education. The tiniest bit of knowledge of the world shatters their “best” arguments. The kids won’t buy in to their nonsense if the kids know anything about the world.
Unschooling is still a thing in social anarchist theory, and is very different to the homeschooling promoted by the far right. The first is about giving children the tools to think and choose for themselves, the latter is about controlling what a child does and thinks.
It’s difficult to find out how much money these various ministries make, but I was able to find a site called, “Meet the Wealthiest Religious Leaders in the World,” which states Kirk Cameron is [worth $20 million] US Dollars.
Sorry, no. I’ve scraped things off the sole of my boot worth far more than Kirk Cameron. Dude has a lot of cash stashed away, but there are few human beings in this world worth less than him.
He represents the kind of atheist who makes me not want to call myself an atheist, the evangelical who stops believe in any gods but keeps the toxic culture.
Exactly. There’s an old joke that “every libertarian has five minutes of good material”. They start out sounding super reasonable, saying things like “anything that is victimless should be legal”, but then it quickly escalates to ridiculous notions of contract law replacing government and hoarding gold.
I think people who declare “Atheist” as the core of their identity* are the same. They always turn out to be monsters when you start digging a little. Hitchens and Dawkins are the canonical examples. They wrote some great books full of insight, but then you look at their Twitter feeds or interviews in the press and realize what shitty people they actually are. They just happen to be right about the god stuff.
*Note that I am not including simply “people who are atheist” in this category. I am atheist, but don’t define myself by it like the people I am speaking of do
