Ugh, I’m so disappointed in WGAP. Apparently they recently switched to US manufacture and the quality drop in the tp was enormous. I’m willing to pay a premium for fully-recycled paper products, but I’d better receive a premium product. I feel like the last two batches I got were dollar store brand quality. They gave me a half box of bamboo paper to lure me back, but the price difference is massive for quality that was about on par with the previously Chinese-manufactured recycled stuff for significantly more money. I’ve been trying out various other brands of bamboo like Caboo, but nothing is as impressive as WGAP’s original tp.
The facial tissues were fine, but the rest of the family vetoed them in favor of Puffs Plus (pretty hard to argue with that).
I haven’t bought them in ages, so I guess I lucked out. I’d buy multiple big orders when they ran their sales. Actually had a last few rolls in my shipping container when I moved!
Basically every paper towel I’ve bought for years is softer on my inflamed nose than any facial tissues my wife buys. It’s been a problem since I was a kid - my red, raw nostrils hated being rubbed by Kleenex, Scotties or any other brand.
I think paper towels are softer because they’re engineered to absorb moisture in a big way.
Not surprised. I think it’s been 3 years since I’ve bought a box of Kleenex. My preferred brand is Scotties Supreme 3 Ply, it’s equally as good (if not better) than Kleenex and it’s cheaper too. Royale is good too but not as soft as Scotties, but it’s slightly better than most store brands (and they’re all okay too).
And as a side note, Purex Ultra Luxe toilet paper is currently my favourite, because it’s so soft yet strong, it’s only 2 ply but it’s as good as 3 ply, not surprising since it’s also made by the same company as Scotties.
