Actually , my initial point of view wasn’t empiric. I mean: what do I know? I’m relying on the same information as anyone else and I can’t have a beer with the wheather reporter to dig up her exact feelings on the issue and the whole job situation she’s in. I usually listen to all sides, a habit transmitted by my grandfather who was a righteous lawyer. When a case is not clear, someone has to raise the question whether we’re really sure we don’t have the wrong end of the stick. That’s usually what I do, for good or for worse.

edited to add: If you watch the actual video, you’ll see that she is confused at first, and asks if she’s being given a sweater because it’s cold in the studio. When told that it’s because of judgemental emails, she looks confused and a little irked, but being professional, keeps her cool while on camera. She was not in on the joke. For some reason, you really want her to be, but she wasn’t.

You use the words free-thinker like I’ve seen others use SJW or liberal all too much.
In other words: you’re no better than those you judge, full of urge to profile yourself by defining an enemy where there was none. You found one, but not in the ideas you pretend to represent, but in your contempt and disdain, the lack of respect you show for anyone who isn’t exactly on your line of thoughts.
