LA police union will not defend cop accused of sexual assault on a corpse

it takes a lot to achieve that . . .

I think it’s probably more an issue of a dead white woman having more rights than a live black person, as far as the LAPD is concerned. Or at least the abuse of one of those is considered a job perk and the other isn’t.

Well, they only know about it because he (accidentally) recorded himself doing it. But I suspect they view, say, shooting a black person in the back as part of the job, but not groping corpses. (Or they aren’t supporting him because he was too stupid to understand how his body cam worked enough to avoid recording himself.)

Possibly even six feet below the surface.

" Police unions are a public enemy, defending running over protesters, sexual harassment, “get out of jail free” cards for cronies, beating up protesters who turn out to be undercover cops, purging the misconduct records of dirty cops, and perjury."

Surely, you meant to say that police unions defend cops who are accused of these things? Because that is their job, you know, as union representatives of unionized cops who are accused of misconduct in an adversarial inquest.

You are using anti union rhetoric here exactly like Tucker Carlson would.

There is more to unpack than “collective bargaining.”

Do you recognize that Police Union members are armed ?

And that their labor disputes in the press are not about dental plans dental plans dental plans but about officers literally killing and disenfranchising citizens’ rights.

Police unions are not advocating for the right to kill or disenfranchise people. They represent police officers for all sorts things, including providing them representation for internal matters.

This is just like saying that defense lawyers are guilty of the exact crimes committed by the people they represent.

No idea why you bring up the fact that police officers are armed.
