oh no, not another one of the original Ghost Busters
RIP Larry Storch. Agarn is gone. We’re the Faqawi now.
Epic.
He’ll always be Spencer to me. LOVED this show as a kid. The Tucker/Storch dynamic was pure Vaudeville, which would’ve been my introduction as a 6-year-old to that style of comedy.
The last of the F Troopers, alas. I’ll also always remember his Get Smart villain The Groovy Guru.
I never really got into F Troop when I was a kid, but he’s been the voice behind so many cartoon characters, it’s amazing.
HE WAS THE VOICE OF THE HAMBURGLAR FOR GOSH SAKES!
You wouldn’t think it, but he was well loved in New Jersey.
He was also married to Norma (née Cross), who had a biracial daughter June that she gave up for adoption, who in turn made an interesting documentary about meeting Norma et al after growing up. Larry shows up in it and is, as one might expect, a complete mensch.
I can’t find it online (it was called “Secret Daughter” on PBS’s POV), but she did a Moth Mainstage about it.
