He has all the gravitas of a toddler trying to reason with their parents, โ€œSeriously Dad, we should really have ice cream for dinner. Everyone surveyed agrees that itโ€™s a great idea.โ€

I think my favorite part is where he says, โ€œThank you for your attention to this matter,โ€ as though overturning an election and undermining our democracy is minor nuisance like getting an overcharge removed from his credit card bill or a refund on those crappy Bible pillows he bought at 3AM last Thursday.

It reads like something a precocious but terribly spoiled child might write to Santa Claus explaining why they expect him to finally come through with that pet unicorn theyโ€™ve been requesting for the last three years.

File under โ€œbest practiceโ€:
Prior to his death, Gregg Prentice developed and maintained software that electronically tracked donations to the Hillsborough County GOP and supplied data for the organizationโ€™s monthly finance reports. None of the other officers knew how to operate Prenticeโ€™s software, the party told the the Federal Elections Commission.

in this case it sounds like maybe theyโ€™re trying to avoid mandatory reporting? like, oh im sorry, weโ€™d love to give you our financials - but that guyโ€™s dead. can we maybe hide all these contributions instead?

apparently he also doesnโ€™t realize it doesnโ€™t matter if heโ€™d gotten the most votes in georgia ( which he didnโ€™t ) because heโ€™d still have lost the election

itโ€™s really good to see how much it hurts him to have so completely and utterly lost. it warms my soul

The twit that was falsely reporting on WMD back in the day? Didnโ€™t she go to prison, at least briefly?

She spent about three months in jail for refusing to reveal a source in the Valerie Plame affair. No time served for the WMD stuff.

aka Scooter Libby

And idiotically, she only went to jail because she forgot that she had a waiver from scooter libby allowing her to divulge him as her source to the grand jury that indicted her. What a maroon.

Yes. And she was involved in the Plame affair, too (outing a CIA spy). So yeahโ€ฆ She did, but it was not long, as @anon87143080 notes.

It turns out itโ€™s the places where almost all the people live, as you would expect in a functioning democracy. Funny that while the article bemoans the poor rural right-wingers who wanted to take control of the state, quoting about how theyโ€™re hard-working patriots and other stereotypes like that, it barely acknowledges that they wanted to take control from the majority.

I assume that the โ€œstatistical analysesโ€ done by the right before they even held the election are saying that the entire election is obviously a fraud because there is no way that Orange County didnโ€™t vote to recall. The Republicans donโ€™t seem to realize that their strategy of winning the rural areas by catering to racism has the converse effect of pushing more conservative urban areas to the Democrats, in conjunction with changing demographics.

Something a lot of those folks would probably say, if asked, is that they are the majority, that there is a silent majority that is trying to be silenced by all this election fraud.

Iโ€™ve heard the silent majority line before. They are neither. โ€œObnoxious minorityโ€œ is more like it.
