It’ll be weird when the other Foxites make transphobic jokes and comments about her. But this is right in line with them hiring weak ass representatives so they can easily tear them and those issues down.

The out of staters are the ones holding the purse strings. They can only do so much with a sales tax and a small property tax. The state uses revenue generated from tourism like Chris Farley going through a cocaine and morphine buffet. A boycott of all tourism in the state even if it is 25 to 33% can be downright devastating.

the grumpy old man in me says i am fine with fewer tourists and snowbirds overrunning these small islands.
the practical me knows that would mean my friends and neighbors whose businesses depend on those sweet tourist dollars would suffer.
people want to come to florida, whether for the theme parks, fishing/water sports, beaches, etc. none seem to care that we are being taken over by religio-fascists (and to some extent, always have been)

How about Fort Myers & the ferry. I do love a nice ferry ride.
I loved my time there. A month in winter would be fantastic in my retirement- which is this year.
