Late Stage GOP Fascists Events ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿพ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿคก (Part 3)

Fascists have shown remarkable immunity to public pressure as long as they feed their base. They stick to the โ€œReal Americanโ€ bullshit and feel oppressed when the public calls out their bullshit.

I hope the parents take a lesson from their conservative partners in the tourist industry here in Texas: Once the old teachers are gone and the board brings on new โ€œteachersโ€ parents should refuse to send their kids. Seriously. The people that are going to get hired as replacements are not going to be the kinds of people kids are safe around.

Unfortunately, this feeds the fascist agenda to end public education as a whole. Gaaahhhh!!!

the nbc article it links to has a lot of details ( probably a 10-15 minute read in total )

one bright lining, although the recall failed, thereโ€™s an election in november. ( and a couple lawsuits pending over things like holding private meetings, and not giving notice on a vote to host a charter school on school property(!) )

Georgia did this experiment years ago and found out how dependent their ag is on immigrant labor. But asking MoRon to learn anything is a foolโ€™s errand.

Hahahaha this thing happened in Georgia several years ago. They were so hard up for finding labor, they had to get prisoners to pick the plants. Speaking of Florida

The new administrator, Glen Gilzean, will receive a $400,000 salary for the job. The compensation is $45,000 more than what the previous administrator, John Classe, received.

It is equal to what US presidents get paid, but less than what administrators of other special tax districts in Florida make. The chairman of the Disneyโ€™s governing board, Martin Garcia, defended the salary as โ€œreasonable compensationโ€ during a board meeting on Wednesday, noting that the previous board set the pay range for the job at $271,000 to $453,000.

So let me get this straight. The GOP in Florida is actively trying to get rid of a Disney park and migrant workers who tend to work in agriculture. A state that doesnโ€™t have an income tax because of tourism and agriculture and not in spite of it.

Whatโ€™s gonna happen several years from now when the left leaning folks in the great lakes states win in those particular areas from taking advantage of Floridaโ€™s incompetence? NY alone has a ton of cheap vacant land on their side of the Niagara Falls and in the Borscht Belt that already has a ton of pre-existing infrastructure to handle tourism. Sure the great lakes area canโ€™t grow citrus, yet we got a ton of closed down department stores that could be converted into vertical farming operations that could grow everything else Florida produces within a matter of months that have very little need to hire migrant workers. Those old Sears, Kmart and Ames stores being in population areas of the necessary sizes to make it economically viable and being quite close to one of the world largest fresh water sources could easily match or beat Floridaโ€™s non-citrus output. Thereโ€™s a ton of sandy loam soil in rural western ny that could grow everything else that could handle the cold too.

Tommy Tuberville is without a doubt one of the stupidest people in Congress, which is saying something. Heโ€™s dumb as a bag of kelp. He likely has to be reminded to breathe.

Hereโ€™s an example, in the Pullman neighborhood of the south side of Chicago:

Lake Michigan water, lots of local workers (mostly POC), high-end produce sold at places like Whole Foods.

So awesome.

Why isnโ€™t Biden putting federal money into this kind of thing?

At least Obama did cash for clunkers. Biden is um, trying to get airlines to give us some money if our flights are delayed?

Surely he and his team can implement better ideas than that, regenerative ideas that both do good and generate publicity for doing good.

Iโ€™m pretty sure that Tommy Tuberville and Louis Gohmert have a time share agreement on a single brain cell as part of a regional innovation initiative. The full faith and credit of the US gets downgraded every time one of them opens their mouth while the other is using the neuron.

Tubervilleโ€™s not just stupid, heโ€™s also a Trump stooge; during the insurrection he was on the phone with the White House promising to scuttle certification of the vote. It figures heโ€™d want to protect white nationalists in the armed forces. He undoubtedly sees Christian ethno-terrorists as a feature, not a bug.
