Late Stage GOP Fascists Events ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿพ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿคก (Part 3)

Um, yeah, a Spam folder is where ALL political campaign emails should go. Duh.

(And it doesnโ€™t appear that Googleโ€™s only been doing that to RNC emails.)

Sheesh. And to think the Heritage Foundation used to have a veneer of respectability. (Not that it wasnโ€™t always a propaganda outlet for โ€œideasโ€ that promote the funneling of wealth upward.)

The right-wingers have received the message that itโ€™s OK to be openly and explicitly antisemitic now. This taking place in one of the parts of the country Republicans regard as โ€œleftist.โ€

Apparently more than a few honks.

For example, Jacksonville, a city with a Republican mayor, had 128 more murders in 2020 than San Francisco, a city with a Democrat mayor, despite their comparable populations. In fact, the homicide rate in Speaker Nancy Pelosiโ€™s San Francisco was half that of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthyโ€™s Bakersfield, a city with a Republican mayor that overwhelmingly voted for Trump. Yet there is barely a whisper, let alone an outcry, over the stunning levels of murders in these and other places.

We found that murder rates are, on average, 40% higher in the 25 states Donald Trump won in the last presidential election compared to those that voted for Joe Biden. In addition, murder rates in many of these red states dwarf those in blue states like New York, California, and Massachusetts. And finally, many of the states with the worst murder ratesโ€”like Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, and Arkansasโ€”are ones that few would describe as urban. Only 2 of Americaโ€™s top 100 cities in population are located in these high murder rate states. And not a single one of the top 10 murder states registers in the top 15 for population density.

I had to re-read this a few times to notice that the mention of โ€œonly 2 populous citiesโ€ is talking about only the 5 states mentioned here, not the 25 states marked in the map.

Create a problem, blame the other party for it, and use that misinformation to win elections. Itโ€™s the Republican way. On top of not really knowing (or caring) where the crime is worse, they are also full of dog whistles about who commits most of the crime when DOJ reports show very different results.

Thatโ€™s an old one, tooโ€ฆ been a popular post-civil rights trope since Lee Attwater shat the idea of โ€œlaw and orderโ€ equating to โ€œBlack people existing near white peopleโ€โ€ฆ I hate that manโ€ฆ I hope he died in pain.

Just in case anyone was starting to think that Liz Cheney isnโ€™t a real Republican sheโ€™s been spreading abhorrent lies about Democrats supporting policies that allow babies to be murdered after birth.

Sheโ€™s a powerful ally to have on our side in the January 6 Committee but only in the sense that Stalin was a powerful ally to have on our side in WWII. We need to be ready for what comes next if and when Trump finally goes down.

Among other problems here I canโ€™t see this helping the credibility of the J6 Committee. I knew she always supported abhorrent policies but she usually managed to appear reasonably sane.

Even when Dick supported his other daughter- she sold her sister out. There are no permanent allies.
