He’s actually right. Not w. the Covid vaccines, or MMR, or any of the big ones that are being administered to the whole population or a large subset thereof, though.
Here in Finland, for example, children are no longer routinely given BCG vaccine against tuberculosis, because there are so few cases of TB any more, and thus the side effects actually outweigh the benefits the mass vaccination. It is, however, still given to children who are judged to be at risk for various reasons.
