Ha ha ha - Ok I see it. I was looking at “proceeded” and was confused. Thanks for clarifying.
ETA: Hopefully obviously, the ‘ha ha ha’ is laughing at myself for focusing on the wrong verb, not at your suggesting that “to charge” is dehumanizing. I think you are right on.
Because in the minds of his target audience for that copy, she “got hers”. It’s also “proof” that she lied. It’s utterly reprehensible top to bottom.
