Criticism of Islam isn’t bigotry, sorry.

Well, thank goodness for that. Seems to be consistent with link posted by @someguy above.

Still, “Libraries Become Unexpected Sites of Hate Crimes” is a far cry indeed from “Libraries become new domestic terrorism target”. Good $deity, hyperbole like that isn’t going to help anyone.

(I further note that the article linked by the NYT refers to the “school’s library walls”, but the library journal calls out bathrooms specifically. But I suppose trying to downplay the significance of washroom graffiti hews a little too closely to pondering the significance of “locker room talk” and we’d best not go there, oh hell no.)

You’re right though - I’m only inferring that the article has roughly the same date as the comments. I mean, that seems probable, but it could also be a reprint from who knows how much earlier. Edit: But I guess we know it’s from no later than Nov 2002, which is something?

For some of “us”, yes. I’ll take nasty words over a pogram any day of the week including Shabbat.

Multiquote is still broken but as for nasty scribbles in religious books, well… Jews Jane had to deal with that a long time as well.
