It’s funny because Daniel Radcliffe has been throwing himself into such a plethora of weird and/or risky creative projects since the last Harry Potter move, that everyone just assumed that he was deliberately trying to re-invent himself and distance himself from the brand.
So in a way, I guess this is in line with his tendency to do surprising stuff. Full circle.
