As to the late Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, LG, OM, DStJ, PC, FRS, HonFRSC, BSC, SSC - it is my considered opinion that her singular political work and legacy has earned her every right to be put under a pedestal.

The smoking crater where society used to be is memorial enough. We don’t need to waste time and money on the absurd sci-fi moonshot pipe dream of having a Thatcher statue in a public place somehow not be vandalised.

As @anon73430903 notes above, that was before Delors destroyed her dream Europe by making those pesky unions and labour rights a cornerstone of a united Europe.
