Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium COVID-19 vaccination site closed by protestors

The worst part of this era is that protesting itself is getting associated with right wing dingalings.

They’ve always protested. Why should that make any difference?

“I fell in to a flaming ring of assholes,
some might be Nazis,
but all of them were maskholes…”

Apologies to Johnny Cash

That definition of their summer on the Jersey Shore, wow, that’s what it was like growing up there in the 60’s, not so much after that, I split in 1976 for Cali. never went back. Thanks for that, it was a welcome walk down Memory Lane.

Who needs to be reminded? There’s like 40 churches for every mile of street. It’d be really hard to live in the US and never get bombarded by it every day

Firstly, those ‘protesters’ are preventing people from accessing medical care! So, where were the cops?
Secondly, what was the ‘precaution’ used by the LAFD as an excuse to close the enterance? Is there some reason why they couldn’t have cleared the blockade?
Those firehoses sure seem to come in handy, sometimes…

Some local social-media chatter has suggested that from now on, “Every day is Bat Day at Dodger Stadium.”

Before everyone gets too worked up, though, please note that the Idiot Brigade didn’t really “shut down” the vaccination site.

LAFD closed the entry gates temporarily to defuse the situation. The line inside the gates kept creeping up the hill, while the line outside continued to build. By the time the gates re-opened, the line up the hill was shorter, but still there. At that point, the line outside the gates moved up the hill and closed the gap, putting them right back where they would have been if the gates hadn’t been closed.

No one was prevented from being vaccinated. No one was even delayed in getting their vaccine. Violence was averted.

(And all the perps are currently being crowd-doxxed to a fare-thee-well. At least two of them were on the FBI’s Capitol-riots Wanted list. Those IDs have been shared with the FBI. Remember, in this age of ultra-surveillance, “Were not arrested on the spot” and “Got off scott-free” are not AT ALL the same thing. )

Thanks. I was thinking about going with a Skavwn reference, but Papa Nurgle is a classic.

I spent a hot minute trying to remember what a conglomeration of assholes was properly called; thank you for reminding me.

Christ, what a ring of assholes.

Yea, particularly in OC, though it’s more blue now.
The burbs and xurbs are all pretty red in Southern CA. You drive out to like Joshua Tree or whatever and it’s all Trump signs (last year at least) and strangely a ton of weed dispensary ones, too.
Here in San Diego County, you get out to Lakeside, Santee, El Cajon… It’s a different world. Some asshole in Santee got photographed in a grocery store with a Klan mask on…
The other burbs are a little more subtle. Rancho Santa Fe, Poway, etc… White upperclass repubs.
