If only there had been some way to reach this endpoint without attacking a marginalized community.

Quite embarrassed to admit I knew next to nothing about the Sisters before all of this, so if there is a silver lining, perhaps their message, mission and history is now wider spread. Hopefully there isn’t a second, darker lining that this drew the focus of more hate groups to them as well. I also knew nothing about the Battle of Chavez Ravine, so fuck, a big fucking TIL/RIL for me.

And that silver lining is probably the main reason they accepted the Dodgers’ re-invitation. My first instinct would be to tell the Dodgers to shove it, but the mission is more important here.

Some people are more focused on making excuses for and accommodating bigots than they are interested in making everyone’s lives better.

Well, good.
Found something they couldn’t dodge.

(still don’t understand their name, TBH).

And of course, Donohue had a snit fit.

,why would a LA MLB team listen to nasty politition from Florida?

Forgot to add, why would anyone listen to that asshole?

They were originally the Brooklyn team, full name the “Trolley Dodgers” to honour local pedestrians’ skill at getting around the streetcars.

I believe they were the Brooklyn Dodgers, named for the locals’ skill at dodging streetcars on the streets of NYC.

They switched coasts, but kept the name.

Don’t ask me “Who’s on first?”, I have no idea.
