That’s the thing about keeping lists of “undesirables”. Sooner or later, you’re on the list.

Yes … but it’s ONE ballot with ONE vote for ONE position, that of president. Not President, representative, water district commissioner, etc.
Or you vote for ONE party (and the party selects who gets the job)
