He has a tattoo of a cross on his hand, according to the CBC. Not sure if one can infer that he is an immigrant with different cultural values. I’m almost positive that hitting a women, or even a man, is against the law in Canada regardless of immigration status.

If this gentleman is assaulting random strangers for interactions with his wife, you can bet that he’s assaulting her regularly. This is but a small window into his behavior.
Nurses get assaulted fairly frequently at their jobs. I remember one discussion a few years back, where every single person I was working with that night had been physically assualted in the last 12 months. Things aren’t better now.
This was the most shocking thing about this story to me. I just assumed that any kind of pharmacy had cameras everywhere.
