Buying the great dane two seats is a much classier move than expecting your minature guide horse to stand by the bulkhead the whole flight without pooping on it.
(apologies for paywall/)
Aww, man, next time I fly I want a giant doggo head to appear in the gap between the seats behind me, like it did for whoever was sitting in front of them in the video!
I wonder how dogs react to the change in air pressure. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear some mournful howling from some unfortunate dogs.
What a sweet pup! I’ve often wondered what one does if your furry flying companion needs to pee or poop. In the video, it looks like the trip started during the day and continued until it was dark…plus the hour or so in the airport before the flight takes off. I’ve never had a dog or cat that could go that long without a potty break.
Take them into the restroom, put down “puppy papers” and let them do their thing there, or get some doggy diapers and train them to use those. Most dogs, even service dogs, can only go 2-3 hours between breaks, but can be trained to both communicate their need and to hold it in until given the command. Better than most ride sharers, in my experience.
