Man clings to hood of car at 70 mph in road rage video

I’m not sure…I think it’s because I read that way,
as in batches/ bursts /groups of words.
Not in a continuous straight line.
Sorry if it’s aggravating or hard to follow.
Bad habit.

Agreed! I used to have lots of good interactions with pedestrians, drivers, and other bikers (and sometimes I was at fault and appreciated being called out.) For the most part I was just yelling anything to say “hey, I’m a biker, we’re around… please keep an eye out for us in the future.” Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s a good idea to do that anymore. At least one of the times I would’ve likely been in trouble (guy was much larger than me and worked out) if another driver hadn’t stopped and helped deescalate (he later told me he saw my hands raise and thought I had a gun on me and was about to draw his own which wouldn’t have help… so don’t do that unless you do have a gun on you(?).

In fairness, the guy clinging to the top of the car was enraged that the driver had just killed his Uncle Ben after stealing all the prize money from that wrestling promoter.

well to be fair if he’d shot him he probably wouldn’t be arrested, since stand your ground is pretty clear cut. now he’s been arrested and possibly will lose his job and be out lots of money because he tried to take the less aggressive route. it’s not logical to try to minimize violence when dealing with unreasonable people in america, the system will come down on you for it

No worries. It’s cool. It’s poetry.

Giving away your age there, perhaps. (But that’s what I call them, too.)
I’m sure the young people call them something else, these days. Line breaks?

Boston isn’t actually in Massachusetts. Kinda like West Berlin.

That is everyone in some parts of the world. Naples, Italy for example. Playing chicken with cars and pedestrians is just what you do.

From the thumbnail, it looked like Roger Stone hanging on the hood of that car. Our world is so mixed up and crazy right now that it seemed completely plausible.

Well he has been released on bond, so I’ve been totally expecting flameout footage along these lines starring him any day now.

…little surprised he didn’t get shot when the police arrived

Boston might also have jaywalkers that know drivers just won’t stop, so there’s less confusion there?

I
too,
often
return
my
carriage.

They don’t call us Massholes for nothin’!

I think most people who know any name for line breaks are aware that the actual character(s) involved could be Carriage Return (Mac), Line Feed (UNIX), Carriage Return + Line Feed (Windows), or even one of the several line break characters introduced by Unicode, which is why the usual generic term is “line break” (or sometimes “newline” if you’re talking about the actual bytes).
